David is a very experienced generalist HR professional with experience within large organisations and SME's in both the public and private sector.
He has extensive experience within unionised manufacturing environments and with senior management responsibility, he has had significant involvement in the commercial direction of a multi-million pound sales & manufacturing operation.
Having particular expertise in the area of UK Employment Law he has experience of Tribunal cases under both English & Scottish procedures.
From experiences gained operating at Personnel Director level, David has particular expertise in the following areas:
- The introduction and negotiation of change in unionised environment
- Recruitment & Selection procedures
- Use of Thomas International occupational tests
- Job Evaluation including HAY and CRG
- Design of Salary & Bonus structures
- Achievement & retention of Investor In People (IIP) accreditation
- Design & Delivery of Management Training
- Design & Implementation of Personnel Policies & Procedures
- Handling cases at Employment Tribunal
- Design of Health & Safety policy and practices
- Pension Schemes & investment strategies
- Procedures and Company input for Industrial Injury claims under the timescale of the Wolff Report.
Based along the South Wales section of the M4 corridor, David is available for a variety of HR, Training and Recruitment Projects.
